Yes ... but please allow me to set the stage.
Arizona is HOTTTTT in September, in case you were wondering.
And though I grew up and lived in AZ
until I was 27, I have apparently become sissified.
(FYI it is possible that that's not a word. Just sayin'.)
I actually got heat-stroke or something while I was there
... threw up and everything.
Bummer, right?!
But after the second time of hovering over the porcelain,
I came out to the kitchen and told my brother, Ronnie,
"If I didn't know any better, I'd think I was pregnant!"
Funny, right?
Well ... seven pregnancy tests later
(Why seven? WHO knows?),
I had my answer:
OH. MY. GOODNESS!!!!!
I was so, so, so excited,
but decided not to tell anyone except for Lil Chick.
Tim had already left to go home and I wanted to tell him first,
but didn't want to share big news like this, over the phone.
So, I put two of the tests in this box
and presented them to the Eggman,
when Lucy and I got off the plane, from Arizona.
Needless to say he was excited, as well!!
We had hoped to get pregnant around Lucy's first birthday in July. But with all the complications we had getting pregnant the first time, the Eggman and I just assumed we'd have to go down the infertility path again.
But regardless of when it happened, we praise the Lord, for His merciful kindness!

The second part of this surprise came when we went to our bebe-doctor on September 23rd. When the nurse asked me how far along I thought I was, I guessed six weeks. You see, the nausea and (reverse) morning sickness began at about four weeks, with Lulu. Therefore, I simply based my answer on previous experience. The nurse then sweetly reassured us that if the bebe was in fact that small, we'd probably see nothing more than a heartbeat on the screen.
So you can imagine our complete and utter SHOCK when up on the ultrasound screen, pops a full blown bebe!!
Yep ... we saw
a head,
spine,
arms,
hands,
legs,
feet
Can you believe it?
Because we almost couldn't!!
It turned out I was already
ELEVEN WEEKS AND THREE DAYS PREGNANT!
I know!!!!!!!!
Way to breeze through that first trimester, right?! ;)
And that would mean we DID get pregnant in July, afterall.
Wow.
I was speechless.
And emotional.
And unbelievably grateful, to the Lord.
So the Eggman Bebe #2 is due April 2012, making the kiddos 21 months apart and the Eggman and I couldn't be more excited!! This time we're waiting until day-of, to find out whether Lucy's going to have a little brother or sister. Either way, she'll be great!!
What shocking surprise and wonderful blessing.
Until next time, Mama Chick out.
