Dedication Day 3.13.11

Lucy Cooper is now dedicated back to the Lord!
May the words of Pastor Brett come to pass, in the Lord's perfect time:
(Sadly,I couldn't get the video to upload.)

Man, what a cutie! [Tim and Emelye] you guys are blessed. Let’s dedicate her to the Lord.
Lord, we are thankful for this little one. And Father, we lift up this whole family.  We thank you Lord that Tim and Emelye are able to teach her and lead her in your ways.  We’re thankful Lord, that you’ve entrusted us with kids and I pray that this family will just have your heart and your mind. That their home will continue to take on more of You. And that little Lucy will follow after You, at that earliest age, Lord. When she’s old enough, Lord, I pray that she would confess You as her Savior and believe. But not to just be saved, to be used mightily by you. So, Lord we pray you give these parents wisdom as they teach her and train her up in your ways. And I pray this little one will be a joy to them, that you would bring to them gladness and happiness through this little one. And Father, I pray that you would put a hedge of protection around her and keep her safe, Lord. We’re thankful for what you’re about to do and we pray as a church family, all together, that you would put your hand on this home. We thank you for hearing our prayer, Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
And (to Lucy), you’re all dedicated!

Lucy's Grandma Kathy followed us up, to capture the moment.

And here are a couple of still "screen shots" a friend sent
from watching it live through USTREAM.
Thanks Karen!
Many friends and family members watched on their computers,
as Karen did.

And some were able to join us for the morning at church.
Friends: Miss Brenda, Miss Kara and her girls
Family: (Lucy's) Uncle Michael, Aunt Jeanne,
Grandpa Mike, Grandma Kathy, Aunt Joy, Uncle Danny,
Great Grandparents Merv and Judy and Great Grandma Mildred
(not pictured: Cousin Samuel)

And let's face it.
It would simply be an incomplete dedication-post
without giving due attention to the dress.

Thank you, Mia for this gorgeous treasure.
This labor of love.

And once again, it's with grateful hearts that we thank
our dear friend Shay for the beautiful pictures
and capturing our Lulu so well.

I know the last two picture collages went outside the lines
(which incidentally is rather un-Mama-Chick-like),
But since it took for-what-felt-like-an-eternity to master the "collage,"
I wanted every nook and cranny to be seen. :)

The Eggman and I are so thankful that we've been chosen by the Lord,
to raise this precious child.
His little girl.
Amen.

Until next time ... Mama Chick, out.
