Christmas 2011

Ahh, September! And we thought August was busy ...

Ready. Set. GO!!!!!

So in true catch-up style, I'm going to cover all of September in one post.

But just to warn you its going to be a L-O-N-G one, as we were comin' and goin' like you wouldn't believe!
Bottom line: Lucy Cooper is a serious trooper! :)

Our month started off with a visit back with the crew who helped make it all happen:
Our incredible Dr. Nakamura and his amazing staff!

Lucy loves talking to anyone who'll listen, especially her daddy!
Here's how we do long-distance birthday wishes

Then to celebrate Labor Day, we hung out with a big group
from the Eggman's family, where Lucy met a lot of new people

And while Lucy was meetin' and greetin',
the Eggman and the rest of the men were skeet shooting

And Lucy and I had a mini photo shoot, while the Eggman finished painting the crib
Yep ... after three outfit changes, she was D-O-N-E!

Stay tuned for the crib pictured in its final resting place.
Nursery pictures are coming soon, to a blog near you.

Next on the agenda for September was ARIZONA and all kinds of firsts for our lil chick!

And our trip was a surprise to the lil Chick's great grandparents.
And boy, were they thrilled!!

And then after a much-needed wardrobe change, Lulu met Auntie Rachel

Lucy enjoyed a bottle with Mia and was then entertained by Great Grandpa Warren Cooper
IT WAS BEYOND PRECIOUS!!!!!
The rest of the quick trip was spent with family and meeting a few people.

Some of the Trunts (that's the combination of Trost and Hunt):
Donna, Leslie and Vincent

Some of the fun Bosts
Carrie, Audrey and Eli (who's not pictured for some strange reason!)

Sweet Megan Walls, who came all the way up from Tucson

The precious Deer family
Payton, Tonia, Justin and Jackson

And finally, good friends Ron and Ruth Elwardt:

And oh, the family pics
(and trust me, there are about a gillion more)

Goodbye AZ family and friends, until Christmas!!
Accept for Auntie Rachel,
who came to visit the following weekend!

We headed east of Portland, toward the Columbia River Gorge

We stopped to have a picnic lunch on the River

Then it was off to Multnomah Falls

Lucy enjoyed most of the day in the carrier, which we're still LOVING!

Then Lucy showed her auntie how much she likes baths ...

Saying goodbye was no more fun this weekend, than it was last weekend.

And between the two visits with Rachel,
we had a visit from our dear friend Bella and Lucy turned two months old.

And then ~ after ALL that ~ Lucy slept!!

And EXTRA, EXTRA ... Read all about it!
At about eight to nine weeks, our lil Chick started sleeping through the night.
Thanks so much to my amazing, dear friend for helping me stay sane through that process.
And we're living proof that it was WELL WORTH the few ear-plugged nights!

What an amazing month ~ full of love, laughter and well, a few pictures!
Thanks to all those who made our September 20-10 so memorable!
WE LOVE YOU ALL!!

Until next time, Mama Chick out!
