Lulu's Garden Party ~ 1st Birthday Celebration

Saturday, July 16th had arrived!

But unfortunately, so had the rain.

Rain + Garden Party = Postponement

Sunday, the 17th.

Still raining.

More rain + a once-rescheduled Garden Party = change of location

We looked high and low, near and far.

But alas, the new location was inside our home.

I like our home and all.

But its just really not the GARDEN party setting I had imagined.

But when in Oregon, you've got to go with the flow. Literally.

(Just imagine our neutral-colored carpet as thick, luscious grass!!)

Having said all that, it all worked out.

People came ...
Thanks to those who celebrated with us - both in person and in spirit!

There were friends, decorations, food and crafts!
The kiddos decorated bird houses and made lady bugs out of red-painted river rocks.

And of course TUTUS and TOP HATS!!!

We tried to get a photo of the birthday girl and all her friends.

It's possible that we waited a bit too long.

It's also possible that Mama Chick

should have provided a top hat for the girls, as well as the boys.

We love you more than imaginable and are so incredibly thankful to the Lord, for you!!
