So, our sweet friend Shay was due
to have their second daughter on June 1st.
And though there was no sign of said daughter
ready to come into the world, we didn't want to
miss an opportunity to celebrate.
Zack and Shaun colored a banner and we made pink cupcakes!
Then Shay took some pictures of Lulu
for her upcoming 1st birthday party.
(Check out the birthday post to see the invitation.)
One of Lil Chick's classic expressions
And FINALLY on June 3rd,
precious Tenley Rhiann Bachelder
joined our world. Both Mommy and bebe did great!!
So thrilled to have another Bachelder friend!!
First time as a solo rocker.
Daddy came home from checking his bees,
and I got some adorable Eggman/Lil Chick pics!
The Boswell boys have mohawks ~ it must be summer!
Our dear friends, Jon and Karen Defoe
blessed us by joining us for dinner!
They love them some Lulu ... and the feeling's mutual!
And speaking of love, this pair have been getting closer and closer.
Sir William has been descending from his throne, atop the couch.
and mingling with the the lil princess.
She is simply smitten.
It was tutu-craziness around our home.
Mama Chick had the genius idea of making a tutu for each
guest at the 1st birthday party.
Even the Eggman got in on the cutting action.
Thanks Sweets!
We celebrated our friend Cassidy's 8th grade graduation
and got to hang with her family and our friends,
Jenn and Jaelynn Pedersen.
June 12th was the Eggman's first Father's Day,
with his Lil Chick on the outside.
They melt my heart.
The Pedersen clan came over
to help us try to retrieve pictures
that we'd lost when our computer decided to die.
It was good to see them, but no such luck on the photos. :(
(Did I mention this was basically every photo we'd taken of Lil Chick since she arrived? Sigh)
On June 15th, our dear Shaun turned FOUR!!
We celebrated by playing at the park and
having pizza with the Pittman crew.
This was one of many walks with the
Country Church Walking Group.
Thanks to Carol Wilson, for organizing such fun events!
Would you please check out these Michelin Arms?!
(affectionately termed, by the Eggman)
They're to die for!
Dumping the toy basket?
Uh, yep.
That's just how Lil Chick rolls!!
Those eyes.
Seriously.
Lil Chick's feet are good for many uses.
Not least of which?
A book-prop.
She loves her new book from Auntie Regina and Uncle Tom!
She loves people-picture books.
If you've spent any time with us, no doubt you're featured in one!
Fun times at the local water park
with the Carrs and the Boswell boys
Lulu's ELEVEN months!
How is this already possible?
So after FIVE opinions,
our pictures from July 2010 and on were apparently lost forever.
Enter Eggman - and frankly - a miracle straight from the Lord!
He tried the Toshiba recommendation, one last time.
AND HE GOT THE PHOTOS BACK!!!
To say the very least, we were ELATED!
Because as the Eggman said:
"I was trying to figure out how
to tell Lulu how it is that there are no
pictures of the first ELEVEN months of her life."
Thank you Lord.
Sweet time spent with Chelsea and Lilly Verduin.
Thanks for inviting us up!
Guess who got to babysit 3-week old Baby Tenley?
Um, me!!
It was so fun to have a bitty baby in the house again
and Lucy l-o-v-e-d her so, so much!
Dinner at the Carrs
and Lil Chick decided to start walking behind a fun toy.
(Incidentally, it was at the Carr home that she started crawling, too!)
I thought I'd see if the vacuum worked like the toy at the Carrs.
She's not ready for hire, but I was pretty impressed!
Love when the Eggman plans date night!
Jenica came to hang out with us today.
Everyone was doing "homework."
Such a productive morning!!
And we finished up the month of June with a beautiful hike.
We all made it. Barely!
Thanks for indulging my quick catch-up.
Until next time, Mama Chick out.
